This parcel lies on the border with Chassagne-Montrachet and is next to the 1er Cru Clos des Tavannes. Until 2007 it was planted with pinot noir but we have since cleared those vines and replanted with chardonnay. This is because the soil is, in part, clay/limestone with a white marl subsoil and in part a chalky soil with a subsoil of rocky limestone and other fallen rocks. We believe that this terroir will give us wine with good mineral notes and an excellent finish.
Wine should be a sophisticated drink, rich but always refreshing.
