This parcel is found at the foot of the Meursault 1er Cru Genevrières appellation. The soil is clay/limestone with a subsoil of fallen rocks and, lower down the slope, gravel.
The characteristics of this wine are very similar to those of the neighbouring Meursault 1er Cru Genevrières with its finesses and an opulent richness that is never heavy. Obviously the length of finish is not as great as its neighbour’s.
The wine goes very well with foie gras and white meats.
It should be drunk within 3 to 8 years after bottling.
Wine should be a sophisticated drink, rich but always refreshing.
